The previous owner of my van removed the onboard water tank to gain extra storage space. Not worth it in my opinion as you don't gain that much space.
Anyway, I have the tank which is a bonus, it came with the van. A shurflo pump has been fitted but it's rubbish, Not so much the pump, it works but not very well. It's like the water system has air in it and the water won't flow at a nice steady rate. You end up getting soaked because it's spluttering and spitting. I think the pump isn't good enough to supply the system with enough pressure and I recall the previous owner saying to me as much.
I would like to re fit the original tank and get it working something like it should but I have no idea of how the pump should be set up. The chap I bought the van off I think he said there were two pumps, one to draw water from outside to the tank then another to draw the water from the tank to the taps. Not sure how true this is.
I just wondered if anyone knew the correct set up ?
Also, I could do with some information on the wiring. There are wires coming out of the wall near the water inlet and some others in the bottom of the wardrobe but it all needs sorting out. I do know that the yellow ones are for the water level gauge but I just don't know which wire goes where.
Any info much appreciated,
Thanks, Matt.
