Hi guys, I'm new to everything regarding caravaning so your advice would be very much appreciated.. We've found a cotswold windrush 13/2 which were happy with and would like to purchase this van, however when the owner showing us around got to the washroom there was nothing inside as they had removed the toilet, sink ect, I'm just wondering if we are able to purchase the toilet, sink and shower and re fit them ourselves?? Are we taking on to much and being naive as to the size of the job in hand, any info would be great

Hello Mate.
I have seen used toilets from caravans for sale on ebay. I think quite a few Caravans use the same fittings usually from Thetford. Shower trays are available new but I doubt you'll get anything like the original Windrush bathroom fittings unless you find someone breaking one.
I'm sort of in the same boat as my Celeste I bought last year has no shower tray and the toilet has been changed for a more modern one. The toilet isn't so much of an issue but I would like to fit a shower tray. There is a board in place of mine which looks like is just placed inside the tray but when I lifted the board....No tray. It's been cut out ! Probably got cracked so someone did away with it.
You could do something similar with yours, Fit a newer toilet and fit your own shower tray ?
Give me a shout if you want any photo's of mine to see what it looks like.
Cheers,
Matt.

I don't know if you have bought the van or not, to buy everything for the bathroom could easily cost £200 even if buying on ebay, as for fitting it, it's not impossible but will depend on your level of ability for such tasks, last year I fitted a thetford C2 toilet in our van which was 30mm wider that the bathroom so I made it fit, in fact I ripped the bathroom apart to do the job, your's would actually be easier as you have a blank canvass to work from, don't do what I did and just buy it, make sure and measure everything before buying.
