Hello everyone, sorry I've found this site a bit late. I hope you're still active on here..lol I'm in the south of Cheshire not far from Crewe and I've been caravanning for around twelve years, although not getting away as often as I probably should. I dropped very, very lucky just over four years ago when I came across a Windrush 132 on ebay, a guy from Blackburn had bought it from new and taken it across to keep at his bungalow in the south of France. He decided age was getting the better of him and brought the van home to sell, my lucky day! This is without doubt the best caravan I have ever had, it beats all the others I've owned buy a country mile, the design, layout and quality of the build are absolutely spot on. It's an '89 model and it came complete with pretty much everything you can think of including a full, king sized awning. At the time I didn't really want a two berth but on seeing this little beauty, I'd got the thing hitched up before the money had hit his pocket. I've also noticed that if you look around these caravans are starting to get a little collectable and are now demanding quite high prices for older vans, I got mine for an absolute steal at £575 and I've seen Windrush of the same age selling for more than double that almost five years on.
I love this this caravan and will never part with it and I'm also pleased I've found this site because you guys might be able to help me find things for it...lol

Hello Mate.
Your purchase sounds very nice and a very nice price it was too especially with all the extra's. I wish I could get as lucky. All the ones I've seen so far have some sort of damp or have been got at. I don't really want one that needs a load of work doing to it before I can use it.
I'll keep looking anyway, you never know.
Happy Caravanning.

Yes, I think I was very lucky Matt, I've looked around and a decent Windrush 132 is around £1400 now. First time I've ever known a caravan to go up in value....lol It's a pity there isn't a register so we have an idea just how many there are left. I'm sure you drop on one eventually mate and when you do you'll be very glad that you did, stunning little things, I wouldn't be without mine now.

We have created a beta register but it is in its early stages of development, so keep an eye out on the forum for updates. There is a poll however, but not many contributors so far which is disappointing. windrush-owners-club.proboards.com/thread/418/

..and yes Margo, a register would be a nice thing to have if possible. I for one would most certainly enter any details about my van that were required, it would be great to see how many and which are still around.

I’m afraid the Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 reference is my own poor interpretation of identifying the build models of the range mainly because of the difficult task of trying to date these things. My interest is the older models and I originally set up the Mk1 & Mk2 to distinguish between the two as they are very similar in shape – just a different colour scheme as the main difference. Much like the later sloped front models (Mk3 and the Celeste), although I’m sure some Celeste owners would argue that the changes between the two are much more significant.
In any case, if you are sure that you have a 1989 model it could in fact be either a Windrush Mk3 or a Celeste. The name on the side should clarify that, but also, try and upload a photo and either myself or Stuart will be able to confirm for sure.
If you want to PM me the Model, Serial number and age of your van I’ll add it to the beta database which Stuart and I have access to. It is intended at a later date that a register will get published once we decide on what to disclose and how to present it.
Regards Mark...

I know it's a Windrush Margo, for sure but I was just a bit thrown out by what Mk it might have been, I didn't even realise they did MK1, Mk2 etc... I have actually already put some photos of it up in the 'Holiday Photos' thread, although it's sitting up my drive and not on holiday at all..lol
