In light of the problems with establishing the actual year of manufacture how do you feel about us creating a database of serial numbers. This of course would not be publically available but it might help us establish a timeline - furthermore we can see if there is run of caravans still in existance. It'll also provide some comfort in that you have a stored record of your caravan details should it go walkies

I'm happy to run the Mk1 & Mk2 models - perhaps Stuart might be interested in running the Mk3, Celeste & Sprit models

I think thats an exceptional idea.
I have only one concern and that would be such information being widely read by non members which may be used inappropriately.

maybe this could be set up in a membership access only section of the forum.

Agreed that there should be some assurance on security and it should not be available to guest readers – even members. My thinking is that it should be available to owners only and that they would have access to an exclusive area on the forum (if that is possible without cost). Owners would apply for access but without sounding objective, provide proof of ownership before gaining access and disclosure of their details. It might sound a bit off putting initially but I only have the owner’s best interest at heart.

Please anyone; feel free to add your opinion on this
