HI, I am Bill, I live in west lothian in scotland, Having caravanned for forty years we gave up but could not resist the chance of a 1988 celeste badly in need of t l c. Spent winter on interior now resealing frame strips. Fantastic van for age looking forward to easter.

hi bill I have just come across a 1978 windrush needs work and resealing the frames on the windows need replaced any advice?

As with any caravan young or old eventually if preventative maintenance is not carried out moisture ingression is going to take place.
having said that due to the construction and design of the windrush and quality of build these vans suffer less than most and if a repair is needed usually if caught quickly can be repaired without considerable cost. Preventative maintenance is without doubt the key factor in long levity of any van.
What I find that most people only act and rectify after the damage has been done which can easily be avoided.
