Although the weather was not brilliant we made the most of it. Island hopping is something we have done before with a island hop scotch using CALMAC ferries the fares where £75 to do the hopscotch.
The Fuel cost us round trip £150 coming back up the east side of kyntire the east side of Kintire is a nice run but we also did the west side but found it quite boring.
It didnt cost us anything to camp as it was all wild camping with a campervan all in all a good cheap enjoyable holiday.
Would i do it with a caravan i donnt think so as we would not be able to wild camp and the extra ferry fees for a caravan on top would probably make it cost prohibitive for us, Thats the benefit of having both a campervan as well as a caravan. Hope this inspires others to do the island hopping holiday. Regards Stuart
