Hi - I have just bought a Windrush 12/2. I read on another thread that the combination of beige stripe on sides and brown-tinted windows makes it a mark 2 but can anyone advise on how to pin down the year of manufacture??
Thanks
Marcus

Hi and welcome to the fold.
As you’ve probably already read accurately dating these things has been almost impossible. The only way I’ve been able to do it is by the chassis number via a very knowledgeable third party but that can prove inconclusive if the chassis sat on the shelf for a long time prior to being used. The caravan serial number is of little use because no known records seem to exist. I have collated quite a substantial collection of photographs, a subsequent of which I have been able to determine a relatively reliable build pattern of the earlier models (Mk1 & Mk2). The Mk2 is quite easy to establish because of the short production run. I stand by the statement on the colour schemes on one of my previous posts but to add we can determine the following:
If you have integral louvre vents at the top of your windows then your your caravan will have been built between 1982 and 1983. If you have solid windows (no louvres) then it will be 1984 – 1985). I hope this helps.
Regards…

Thanks Margo - I realise now that it's a 13/2S - does the louvre rule still apply? Marcus

Yes it does BTW - The "S" denotes the presence of a shower.
