Please select the model you have in the above poll. If you are in any doubt as to what model you have please get in touch and we will endeavor to clarify it for you. As I cannot edit the above poll I am unable to add a separate category for the Spirit model Should you wish to disclose a Spirit model then please feel free to add a post below so the numbers can at least be acknowledged. I will try and add a picture of each generation of caravan shortly.

I have looked into if Poll amendment can be altered and your right once posted it cant be altered in any way. Obviously a fault in the boards program.

Hi, we are new to caravaning and guess what, the first van we bought was a Windrush (152/S I believe). The van has barely any external dents and dings but that is the good news. It turns out the blown air heating doesn't work, only 1 of the 3 cooker rings works (dials corroded) and the fridge runs only on gas. The hot water also doesn't work. All things considered our idea to try this activity has turned into a bit of a nightmare as the bill to fix all the above is almost as much as we paid for the van. I actually really like the van, internally it's in great condition with lots of original features but the person who sold this to us told us some pretty tall stories and we naively fell for them.
Our options now are to sell or try to find a cheaper way to fix some of these issues. We are inclined to the former as we really only want to see whether owning a van is for us and are not diy people but if anyone has advice then I could use it!
The final issue is there is some damp in the rear corners, no surprise I guess but one more thing to worry about. Perhaps we were naive but this appears a great van (despite all the above)and I love the fact that people seem to care about the marque so if anyone has advice or can help (or is looking for a project to buy) then please let me know.
The van has a low chassis (aluminium?) and a broad green stripe (perhaps they all do?)
Steve

Hi Stuart Do all the caravans have the hitch stamped with the year of manufacture? Cheers Olan. Hi Olan Yes they do if its a pressed steel hitch as most are unless its been fitted with an after market towing hitch. This only indicates when the trailer was built but be aware it may have stood somewhere for a period before being constructed on but I dont think this would be all that long after manufacture. Hope this helps Cheers Stuart

Have just purchased the caravan Steve was talking about. Wd40 sorted most of the gas ring problems. Others are on the list to try and do! The Plate is one the side, to the right of the door. Info posted in my queery about work top.

Hello Cortinamatt- Your caravan looks very similar to mine a Cotswold Celeste- Mine is all in pretty good shape but the electric has been cut at the head end where all the wiring goes into the caravan. How does the power from the battery and mains link into the caravan wiring? Do you know any of this information or do you have any user manuals etc for this caravan? I'm at a bit of a lose as to how everything works. Any help would be gratefully received. Fil
